Meet the Team!
James Burns MVB MRCVS
Jim hails originally from Birr, Co.Offaly. After graduating in 1976 he moved to Scotland and arrived in Naas in 1977. Jim & Eamonn Cahill started the Barrack Gate Veterinary Clinic partnership in 1991. Rugby is Jim’s past time having played with UCD and Lansdowne and is a big Leinster fan. Jim also has a qualification in acupuncture, Lic, T.C.M.
Eamonn Cahill MVB MRCVS
Eamonn is a native of Naas and attended the local CBS. He qualified in 1976 and has worked since in a number of practices around Ireland including Longford, Sligo, Monaghan and Galway. In 1978 he settled in Dunboyne, Co.Meath for 7 years in a multiman practice. Eamonn then worked with the Department of Agriculture in Co.Kilkenny before returning to Naas in 1987 and formed the Barrack Gate Veterinary Clinic with Jim Burns in 1991. His hobbies include horse racing and some D.I.Y! Eamonn is married to Mary and has two grown up children.
Kevin McConnell MVB
A Naas native, Kevin attended the local CBS school and following graduation from UCD, spent time in Kilkenny and Offaly before returning to Naas where he has been for the past 18 years. When not attempting to play unbelievably average golf, he coaches GAA football to the under 7 Two Mile House team and tries to keep up with his three energetic sons.

Fiona Whelan BSc.R.V.N
Fiona is a fully qualified veterinary nurse. She completed her nursing degree in Athlone Institute of Technology in 2008 and obtained a further degree in Agricultural Science in 2009. She joined the team in Barrack Gate Veterinary Clinic in 2010.
Tracy King
Tracy joined Barrack Gate Veterinary Clinic after sitting her final exams in veterinary
nursing in Athlone Institute of Technology this year. Tracy is from Co.Meath and
enjoys playing football and camogie. Tracy is also the proud winner of a 2014 All-
